Hope is still alive...barely.

Well ladies, I took two tests this morning. I took a picture but it didn't really show what I wanted you to see. The first test was  a new FRER, taken at 6 am after 4 hours not peeing (I woke up at 2 am). It has a line so faint that at 6:15, Hubby said he couldn't see it, and I wasn't sure if I was hallucinating it. But, I've seen enough stark white negatives to know that something was happening on that damn stick. So, I couldn't let it rest.

The second an old, expired a year ago FRER that I got free from Resolve, was taken 3.5 hours later, and had a slightly darker line, still barely discernible, but at least it had a tinge of pink, unlike the first, which was so light it just looked like a damp spot.

I wish the lines were darker. I am so afraid of another chemical. It's 15dpo, 13dp3dt. Does anyone have a success story to share with a line this light at this point? I'm so paranoid. I'm feeling crampier, and my ovaries are a bit achy, which has been a sign of AF in the past. I also had a headache when I woke up. A bit of lower back pain as well.

I wish something could be simple. It would be so nice just to run from the bathroom with a definitive answer. I have two more expired tests in the house. I'm going to take another one tomorrow and hope that the line is darker.

But, and Hubby and I keep reminding ourselves, Pregnant Until Prove Otherwise, right? I guess I might as well act as such!

Oh, and I haven't said it nearly enough lately, but you all know it. Thanks so much for the never ending support through this crazy roller coaster ride. I don't know how I would be surviving without you. May we all make it off with a big smile on our face someday.

  1. There is still hope -- my lines were so light for my youngest that I had to hold it up to a light to see it -- and that was 15 days post ovulation. In fact my lines were super light with the other pregnancy too.

  2. I definitely think there is still hope. 15dpo is still relatively early and my lines were always faint and never got darker than the control line even with the FRER. I also had some cheap big box store tests with blue or purple dye that showed a plus sign instead of two parallel lines and that test seemed to be darker. I took that one (since it was a cheapie) later in the evening the same day I tested the first time in the morning and it still showed positive even though it wasn't a FMU. Keeping my fingers crossed for you!!

  3. keep peeing on them!! mine were very very light in the beginning and then all of a sudden I could ACTUALLY tell there was a line there!!! hang in there and pee often, lol. I even went out and got several brands so see if there was a difference!

    good luck!

  4. the best way to photograph hpts is out in natural sunlight (just fyi).

If there is pink, there is something going on! It took several days for mine to be noticable to other people that didn't stare at 101 stark white tests before. FX;d super tightly for you!!

All your symptoms are things I had as well. Could have sworn AF was just about to pop in for a visit at any moment. Everything sounds promising, so hang in there!!

  7. A line is definitely a line and hopefully it will get darker and darker and is a sign of excellent results from your beta tomorrow.

  8. All I know is that with both of my pregnancies, the FRER was
Not my friend. I had much better results with the clearblue digital. That said, if a line is there, you're pregnant. Congrats!!!!!

  14. It's impossible to see a line without pregnancy. Evaporation lines are white, and if anything, just show a shadow of grey (depending on how you hold them in light). If you're getting color on those lines, you're pregnant!!! Very exciting!!! I'm very, very hopeful and excited for you!!! Some women don't show positive results on tests until well beyond 14DPO. So I'm really hoping and praying that tomorrow brings you great numbers!!!! :) Thinking of you!!!

  16. Well...it sounds like you have good reason to be hopeful! My first HPT was very light where I thought I was imagining it so I waited a while to test again and I got a dark line right before my Beta. But that was 13 days after a 5dt. I think you have an excellent shot at being preggo this time around!

Fingers crossed and hugs my dear.

  18. With my daughter I only had a beta of 40 at 11dp3dt, and that's a blood test. If I had POAS it probably would have been barely there. I usually avoid POAS for that reason, my betas always suck. Just remember, super faint lines and sucky betas can still mean live babies :) Hang in there!!!!
