I am overwhelmed by the support, excitement and love Violetta and I received yesterday. You guys are all quite simply awesome! I think I am still in shock a bit. I just really had no idea how this was going to go. I feel a bit like I am in a dream. Anyway, just wanted to write a quick note and mention that I'm travelling for work tomorrow. God help me, I have to leave my house at 5:30am tomorrow for a day trip to Buffalo. So, I won't be getting my second beta until Thursday. I'll be sure to update when I get that number. In the meantime, I'm trying to soak it all in, and tell myself, that a little lower back ache and some cramps that have been nagging me for the last hour are completely normal, right? Ah, the life of an infertile.
PS - I already have visible blue veins on my boobs. When I pointed them out to hubby, he told me those are totally hot. He's actually had discussions with other guys about it. Does this concern anyone else?
PPS - How on earth does anyone concentrate at work when they find out they are pregnant? I'm pretty much useless!
So exciting. Work? Who needs work when you have such exciting news!!! LOL! I bet it must be so hard to get things done.
ReplyDeleteLOL. That's hilarious that he talked to other guys about the veins!!
ReplyDeleteYeah, the uselessness at work thing doesn't go away, either! Good luck focusing! :)
Can't wait for the next beta!!
I'm not sure he knew I had blue veined boobs. He's just participated in conversations about the concept before. Men are weird!
DeleteOh, and yes the cramps are totally normal!!
ReplyDeleteI think you have at least a week free pass from concentrating at work. Now you have a whole new life to plan :) Congrats again. After reading your blog about testing, I will steer far away from Answer even if it was just a defective batch.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!
ReplyDeleteI never did get the blue veins, but I sure did look for them. Funny that your hubby has discussed it with others. I think my guy still isn't quite believing that I'm pregnant yet. haha
Cramping is totally normal....I cramped a lot! Congratulations again!!!
ReplyDeleteCongrats again! LOL, pregnancy brain is already getting you I see. Well that's okay it will return to a more normal brain in say 18 years? J/K
ReplyDeleteThe cramping is totally normal. And men talk about blue veins? What a bunch of weirdos! ;)
ReplyDeleteI am so excited for you. I don't think I was functioning too great at work when I first found out I was pregnant either, now that I think about it. I've got everything crossed for doubling numbers and more good news!!!
OMG! I am so excited for you! Congrats!!!
ReplyDeleteNo work becomes a permanent back burner ;)
ReplyDeleteI have been on auto-pilot since my positive. Have a good trip!
ReplyDeleteAll totally normal! I've pretty much been useless for anything other than thinking about these babies since I found about about them 7.5 weeks ago. I'm pretty sure that will continue until the day they arrive! Looking forward to a great doubling report on Thursday :)
ReplyDeleteVeins... cramps... husband's strange fascination with ever growing and changing breasts... all sounds very promising! ;) Enjoy this wonderful and special time! And if you figure out some great tips for staying focused at work, please let me know! I've been basically useless for the past 4 months! Congratulations again! I can't tell you how excited I am for you!!!
ReplyDeleteUmm... I don't think it's possible to concentrate on one other thing other than that little baby! And that's ok!! Enjoy every single second of it!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Still Hoping...enjoy it darlin'. You are a momma!
ReplyDeleteI remember wandering around work like a zombie after my BFP- those first couple of months are a blur. So happy for you!
ReplyDeleteI didn't get blue veins...I got gigantic/dark areolas instead! And yeah I guess most guys really do like pregnant boobs ;) It's definitely hard trying to work right after a positive! Congrats again!
ReplyDeleteOMG!!! congrats!!! and who needs work on their mind when you have much more exciting news and things to think of at this time!!! very excited for you both!!!
ReplyDeleteThe lower back pain is totally normal! I still have it daily and I am now 11 weeks! Don't worry about work! Just enjoy your positive news!!! Soak it all in!
ReplyDeleteNot sure if I already said this, so I'll just say it again - MAZEL TOV!!! Screw work, just enjoy the euphoria of all your hard work paying off. The work will get done.
